The Prime Minister has made the appointments, exercising the power vested in him under Rule 3(b) of the Rules of Business, 1996, according to the notification today (February 18).
According to the gazette, five of the advisers will enjoy the rank of ministers, while the remaining five will hold the rank of state ministers.
The advisers appointed with the rank of ministers are Mirza Abbas Uddin Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, Md Ismail Zabiullah and Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir.
Those appointed with the rank of state ministers are Humayun Kabir, Brigadier General (retd) Shamsul Islam, Dr Jahedur Rahman, Mahdi Amin and Rehan Asif Asad.
The notification said the advisers will enjoy the status, salaries, allowances and other benefits of ministers and state ministers while holding their posts.
It added that the appointments have come into effect immediately.
